Basic Programme Components:

  • Gratification versus disadvantage of sensual pleasures
  • Escape from enslavement by sensual desires
  • Practical information about becoming a monk in the Theravāda tradition
meditation • monastic discipline • sutta study Pali chanting • identifying your meaning of life talks & discussions on DhammaVinaya qigong • yoga • alms gathering • monkhood sharing

Requirements:
  • Inclination for renunciation
  • General physical & mental health
  • Agree to stay for the whole 2 weeks of the programme
  • Willing to observe all stipulated regulations
  • Able to communicate well in English
  • Male, aged 17 & above
  • Malaysian (Singaporeans can also be considered)
