Guardian of the Sasana - wayfarersA musical offering for Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary is set at the edge of the forest, among secluded hills near Taiping, a small peaceful town in the State of Perak, Malaysia. It is a national project initiated by Venerable Aggacitta, an eminent Malaysian monk. Sasanarakkha is a Pali word meaning "Guardian of the Sasana (Gotama Buddha's Teaching)". It aspires to train Malaysian monks in the theory and practice of the Dharmavinaya, Pali and propagation skills so that they can help vitalise the Sasana and evolve a modern Malaysian Buddhist identity based on the Pali scriptural tradition. At a time when increasing numbers of Malaysians are thirsting for the Dharma, and foreign monks find it harder to propagate the Dharma effectively, the establishment of Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary is especially auspicious. The tremendous support it has received from well wishers in Malaysia and elsewhere is surely an indication of its great significance. Future plans include providing separate facilities for laypersons to participate in meditation or health-promoting retreats under the guidance of competent teachers.
In addition to the main theme song, the CD compilation also offers 4 other renditions of the song in the form of a Trio, A Cappella, Instrumental, and Minus One. Distributed by Sukhi Hotu Sdn Bhd
